I am a London based textile artist and animal lover.
Working from your favourite photograph, I’ll create a realistic and lifelike portrait of your best friend. I can embroider any type of animal or bird – not just cats and dogs!
It is the perfect gift for a pet lover, for those of us obsessed with our current best friends, or holding dear a cherished memory of an old one, whether for a special birthday, Christmas, or Wedding present.
And in case you haven’t come across it before, freestyle-machine embroidery is embroidery done on a sewing machine. It’s not a computer-generated image, my machine is an old Singer from the 1960s, so there’s nothing digital about it – it’s just me, “drawing” with a sewing machine.
There are two basic sizes: small portraits sewn onto Liberty Tana Lawn samples, 9 x 14 cm, and backed with denim. These cost £150 (+postage) and are sent out unframed. There is also a larger size portrait available, sewn onto a Liberty print background measuring c.30x30cm, £200 (+postage).
I accept worldwide commissions. All you need to do is email me some shots to get started. It’s that easy. The portraits take about 4 weeks (currently).
