I started with a photo from Henry’s owner. And it’s a good one; he’s very photogenic, Henry, I mean (well, both of them, actually).

Next comes the sketch, which is cut up to make the paper pattern.

Here is the sketch/pattern, re-pieced for a quick photo session. To give a sense of scale, the second photo is of a decaptitated Henry alongside his friend Harvey and my box of brown threads.
